How to join a library
You’ll need to provide proof of your name and address when joining a library. This can be in the following forms:
- Passport
- Driving licence
- Utility bill
- Credit or debit card
- National identity card
If you can’t provide proof of your address, library staff may want to send a letter to your home. When you receive the form, simply bring it back to the library and present it to library staff. This will serve as proof that you live at the address.
Concessionary membership
Concessionary members pay discounted library charges on services like DVD and CD rental. Concessionary membership may be given to disabled people, those receiving benefits, and the over-60s. If you receive benefits or are disabled or over-60, bring along official documentation when joining the library.
